About North Kent Embroiderers

North Kent Embroiderers are a dedicated group of enthusiastic stitchers who willingly share their love of embroidery as well as learning from each other. The original group was formed in 1987 and known as North Kent Embroiderers’ Guild but when the Guild closed its branches in March 2021, we reformed and are now called simply North Kent Embroiderers.

Membership fee: £65 p.a. to be paid at the AGM in May.

Visitors’ fee: visits to up to three consecutive meetings at a cost of £7.50 per visit – to be reviewed annually at the AGM.

Our aim is to improve our skills and enjoy stitching together. Our meetings cover a wide range of interesting subjects and activities and someone is always on hand to offer help and advice.

Guest speakers are a frequent source of inspiration, enabling hands-on, taster sessions and expert demonstrations.

Visitors and new members will always find a warm welcome and no previous experience is necessary. Find out more information on Future Meetings.

No special abilities are either expected or required, although it is always hoped that, with encouragement and help, members new to embroidery will in time, be able to produce their own stitched masterpiece.
