About North Kent Embroiderers’ Guild

Founded April 1987

The members of the North Kent Embroiderers’ Guild are a dedicated group of enthusiastic stitchers who willingly share their love of embroidery as well as learning from each other.

We meet at 2pm on the third Saturday of each month (except August) at:
The Community Room
Gravesend Library
Windmill Street
DA12 1BE

Membership fee: £66.00 per annum

Visitors’ fee: 3 visits at the door cost of £5.00 to regular meetings and thereafter £7.50 per every subsequent visit, unless the visitor becomes a member.

Our aim is to improve our skills and enjoy stitching together. The additional 97 Group is intended for adult members to stitch together and co-ordinate projects and exhibitions. Our meetings cover a wide range of interesting subjects and activities and someone is always on hand to offer help and advice if you get stuck.

Guest speakers are a frequent source of inspiration, enabling hands-on, taster sessions and expert demonstrations.

Visitors and new members will always find a warm welcome and no previous experience is necessary. Find out more information on Future Meetings.

No special abilities are either expected or required, although it is always hoped that, with encouragement and help, members new to embroidery will in time, be able to produce their own stitched masterpiece.
